Abdul Hamdan
Founder
Before founding Dental Financial Partners, I built a startup dental office from the ground up — taking it from $0 to a high revenue practice in its first 12 months (and continuing to grow since). I worked nearly every position in the practice (except the dentists), which gave me a real understanding of what it takes to run a dental business day in and day out. I know the stress of staff management, patient management, the long hours, and the constant balancing act of keeping a practice both profitable and people focused—all while raising kids and caring for my family.
Over the years, I’ve invested more than 10,000 hours running and advising dental practices. That experience revealed an unmet need: dentists don’t just need tax preparation—they need a trusted advisor who can keep them compliant, analyze financials, uncover inefficiencies, and help plan for growth and long-term wealth.
As an Enrolled Agent (EA), licensed by the IRS, and a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) with a Series 65 license, I combine advanced tax expertise with fiduciary investment guidance to my clients. Since founding Dental Financial Partners, I’ve had the privilege of serving many dentists as their tax and wealth advisor. My goal is simple: to combine my firsthand experience with financial expertise to help dentists not only stay on top of their taxes but also increase profitability, optimize cash flow, and build long-term wealth.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why work with an Enrolled Agent (EA) instead of a CPA?
An Enrolled Agent (EA) is licensed by the IRS and specializes exclusively in taxation and representation.
Dental practices primarily need:
-
Tax strategy and planning
-
Accounting and bookkeeping
-
Ongoing financial guidance
These services do not require a CPA license.
An EA is focused on:
-
Proactive tax reduction strategies → see Tax Strategy & Compliance
-
Direct IRS representation → see Taxpayer Representation
-
Year-round planning—not just filing
While CPAs are required for certain audit and attestation services, those services are typically not relevant to most dental practices.
For dentists, the real value is working with someone focused on tax strategy, clean financials, and improving after-tax cash flow—not just compliance.
2. Do dentists need a CPA, or a tax-focused advisor?
Most dental practices don’t need audits—they need forward-looking tax strategy. We focus on:
-
Reducing taxes proactively → Tax Strategy & Compliance
-
Structuring income efficiently → Practice Financial Management
-
Planning for ownership and growth → Dental Practice Start-Ups
Most dental practices don’t require CPA-level services—what they need is proactive tax strategy. We focus on what happens next.

After-tax cash flow optimization
